Home Learning Resources
Enrichment tasks will be set every few weeks to encourage the children to work independently or with someone from home to create a piece of work to be proud of. We like to let the children choose how they would like to present their work, this gives them the opportunity to be as creative as they would like. Each half term, a new enrichment project(s) will be set for the children to complete. You will find these on Google Classroom here.
We have access to Purple Mash, which is a resources for most of the curriculum areas. It has tools for children to practice their number facts, writing skills and spellings. Children can log in using their emoji passwords through Wonde.
Homework will be posted online now using Google Classroom. Children can log in using their Wonde log ins. If your child is off school, there will be work posted online for them to complete at home. If you are struggling to log into Google Classroom, please inform your child's teacher as soon as possible.
Spelling Frame is a free website with all spelling rules, children can practice the spelling rules and then take a test. http://spellingframe.co.uk/. The children will need to know how to read and spell all of their High Frequency Words by the end of Year 2. Below show the Year 1 and Year 2 high frequency words.
Our P.E. day is Friday. Please ensure a full P.E. kit is in school at all times.
Reading books must be brought into school every day. Your child will also be sent home with an RWI book each week to read at home with you. This enables them to share with you the story they have been reading in RWI lessons.
